Did Cowboys’ Jerry Jones just buy ‘America’s Team’ of esports?

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has purchased a majority interest in esports mainstay CompLexity Gaming, winner of more than 130 esports championships in 26 competitive titles, and will relocate the organization to the NFL team’s sprawling world headquarters in suburban Dallas, the Cowboys announced Monday.

Jones along with billionaire real estate investor John Goff are making their entrance into the growing global esports industry through their acquisition of what is considered an iconic esports brand, arguably as identifiable in esports as America’s Team is in the NFL.

“I’m appalled,” Shannon Whitehead wrote. “My husband would NEVER attempt to intentionally hurt another player. I won’t stand by and allow you or any other media personnel to question his integrity or defame him in any way.”

The Bears (3-7) and Lions (6-4) meet again in Week 15 at Ford Field on Dec. 16.

The veteran Colts cornerback has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Steelers while he rehabs a groin injury, FOX59 in Indianapolis reported Wednesday.

According to the report, Davis will practice on a limited basis this week as he works on preserving his availability for the rest of the season after sitting out the team’s Week 9 win over the Texans.

The Cubs focused their rebuilding efforts on finding, developing and signing high-ceiling position talent. Obviously, that approach has worked well.
